Social Media and Connection

At We Do, social media isn’t just about posting — it’s about connection. Every story we share, every reflection we put out, becomes a thread that ties people back into community. Whether it’s through Men’s Talk, where working-class voices find space to speak openly about adversity and resilience, or through glimpses into our partnership with The Foundation Clinic in South Africa — a rehab built on compassion, heart, and the Ubuntu way — we use our platforms to remind people they’re not alone. Social media allows us to reach the man scrolling in silence at midnight, the woman seeking empowerment, or the business searching for wellbeing solutions. It’s our way of saying: we’re here, and we walk this journey together.

Connection

My journey with U-ACT (Ubuntu Academy of Coaching and Training) led me to South Africa, where I had the privilege of visiting The Foundation Clinic — a rehab that lives and breathes the Ubuntu philosophy: “I am because we are.” U-ACT shaped me as a professional recovery coach, giving me the tools to serve with integrity and compassion, while The Foundation Clinic showed me what recovery looks like when it’s grounded in love, community, and human connection rather than stigma. Walking through its gardens, meeting the staff and residents, I witnessed a model of care that wasn’t just clinical but deeply spiritual — recovery held by heart and by humanity. That experience continues to guide the way I coach and the way We Do builds community back home.
